About Us

Telesec has been providing answering services since 1968 with a manual cord board switchboard. Today, we now utilize computerized systems while continuing to offer the same small business atmosphere and personal touch.

We offer spacious work stations for our operators to help eliminate most of the background noises one might hear in a call center. Our staff is equipped with the latest technology to give our clients the same features and reliability that larger companies provide while maintaining the personal aspects you receive in a smaller company.

Our operators are hand picked, tested for spelling and grammar, and are paid fair wages with benefits. Joyce supervises all activity to ensure that you receive the best services possible. We operate from a diverse community, and we also offer interpretation services for our accounts, allowing you to expand your customer base. Our operators are trained by Joyce and the other staff in management to be courteous and accurate. We also allow you to give us specific requirements on how to handle your calls. We are able to accommodate the smallest of home-based businesses to the larger companies that require very specialized care.

History of Telesec

Telesec was originally owned and operated by Rita Sanford/Osejo in 1968.Our old cordboard, used from 1968 to 1999 Originally located at 259 Percy Avenue in Yuba City (which no longer exists because of expansion in the downtown Yuba City area), services were operated from a switchboard manufactured by Pacific Bell in 1940, which was quite a treat to operate. Because there were no technicians available in the area to service such old equipment and the cost of moving the old cord board switchboard was so high, there was no option to move the equipment. Rita sold Telesec to Joyce Stricker in December of 1999. Joyce had already worked as an operator and had been promoted to Manager, a position which he held for 6 years. The business was located in the heart of a new construction zone when Joyce bought it, so she decided to upgrade the system to a computerized switchboard and move the business to its new location at 440 N. Palora.

Our new and latest computerized switchboard system allows us to provide customization for every clientTelesec was operated from that building for 5 years, but was eventually relocated again to its current location at 1290 Lincoln Rd Suite 4 in Yuba City. When Joyce discovered this property was for sale, she jumped on the opportunity because it had a great location on the corner of Highway 99 and Lincoln Rd. It was again decided that the computer systems should be upgraded again to follow the increasing development of technology. A carefully planned upgrade that left no downtime along with the installation of a new T-1 line to provide crystal clear sound quality completed the move on September 15, 2004.

Back-up units and automatic generators have since been installed in this location so that your business doesn't have to stop because the rest of the city is without power. Our operators are dedicated to serving the public and giving you the best possible service.

In January of 2010, we expanded our office, adding additional workstations. This expansion has allowed us to employ more operators and answer more calls from companies nationwide.
